Timings

When dining at Black Iron we politely request the table be returned 2 hours from your original booking time. You are welcome to take a seat in our bar area once you have finished your meal.

Dress code

We operate a smart casual dress code in the restaurant and bar.

Bottomless Brunch

Guests are required to drink responsibly at all times and our team reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is or appears to be intoxicated. Bookings are strictly 2-hour sittings, after which tables will be required back. If guests are running late, we will hold a table for 15 minutes. If we have not heard from the guests after 15 minutes of the reservation, we will cancel the booking and free the table up for the next person. Please do not arrive early for your table. We cannot guarantee we will have space available for you to sit. We may have to ask you to leave the premises and return closer to your booking time if it begins to affect the social distancing around the venue. Of course, we shall endeavour to avoid this but we must be strict.

Children

Children under the age of 12 are welcome to dine in the restaurant until 8pm. Children must remain seated at all times. The bar is strictly over 18s. No children in the bar. We operate a Challenge 25 and a No I.D – No Sale policy to ensure that we are keeping within the Licensing Regulations.

Late bookings & cancellation policy

Some circumstances can’t be helped but if you are running late please call ahead, we really appreciate it. If guests are running late, the original booking time may no longer be available but we will endeavour to seat you at the next available time slot that does not disrupt service or affect other guests. If you no longer need your reservation, we ask that you call or email at the earliest convenience so we can offer the table to other customers. Our tables are in high demand at weekends and NO SHOWS result in loss of revenue. Please call ahead and let us know if there are any changes.

Table decorations & birthday cakes

Celebrating a special occasion? We can provide a cake for the table for a small charge or you can bring your own. There is a cakeage fee of £3 pp if you were to bring your own. Alternatively we are more than happy to pop a candle in one of our beautiful desserts. If you would like to decorate your table with banners or balloons feel free to mention this when booking. Unfortunately, our staff are unable to blow up balloons for tables but if you would like to arrive slightly earlier to get this done we can advise you on what time would be best. We are sorry to say that glitter, sequins or confetti are not allowed to be used when decorating a table. We take a strong stand at being as environmentally friendly as possible due to the effect these items have on our environment we do not allow these decorations.
